If you’re new to vaping, then you probably have a lot of questions about vaping and how many vaping battery types are there? Let’s check out vaping batteries and how many types of vaping batteries there are!
What Batteries Do Vaporizer Companies Use?
It may seem daunting at first, but vaping mods and batteries are really quite simple once you start vaping and take a few minutes to educate yourself. Don’t be daunted by terms like Ohms, wattage, amperage, or discharge rates. Let’s check out what some of these terms are and what they mean when you’re choosing the right battery for your vaporizer.
Milliamp Hours & Amperage Matters
The capacity of your battery is measured in mAh or milliamp hours. This is how long your battery will be able to discharge current before you are required to charge it. Many small vaporizers begin at 600 mAh, while larger mods with internal batteries are up to 5000 mAh. The amperage is how much continuous current your device can discharge. You need to consider whether you’re looking for a battery that can pump out the power or a battery which will last longer before you’re required to charge it.
The Most Common is the 18650
The most common and popular battery is the 18650 battery. Nearly all vaporizers have either a single 18650 battery, dual 18650 batteries, or triple 18650 batteries. They look very similar to your regular AA battery but slightly larger with different terminals on the end. There are also 26650 batteries which are larger again than the 18650. It’s important to vape battery safety that you take care when handling and charging any batteries.
Vape Battery Handling & Safety Tips
If the casing of the battery is damaged or scratched, then you should dispose of that battery immediately. When you charge your batteries, it’s important that you don’t leave them unattended on the charger. Always use the correct charger for your battery.
